How To Play the Famous Board Game Clue

Clue is a very famous board game that was introduced in the year 1949 by Anthony E. Pratt in the UK. Since its launch the board game Clue has been a super duper hit amongst the fans of board games. Since then it has been adapted into many movies and other plays. In this board game there are six major characters with six different weapons and 9 rooms. In this game a murder occurs in any of the 9 rooms, using any of the six weapons, by any of the six characters. One of the players playing Poker Clue is actually the murderer. All players have to guess who the murderer is, what weapon he or she used to commit the crime, and in which room the crime was committed.

The characters given in this board game are Mr. Green, Prof. Plum, Miss Scarlet, Mrs. White, Col. Mustard, and Mrs. Peacock. Each player has a designated spot from where he or she has to start. The players playing the board game choose which character they want to be and then take their allocated spots. Someone then starts shuffling the categories of cards that exist. You have three categories of cards, the people, weapons, and the rooms. You start by shuffling up all the people cards, and then just take the top card in this pile and place it within a secret envelope that no one is allowed to look at. Then the weapons card category is shuffled and the same is repeated with the final room’s card set. By the end you will have three cards in your secret envelope of which one will be a character, one will be a weapon, and one will be a room. This will be the murderer, the weapon, and the room where the crime was committed.

Then you have to shuffle remaining cards and distribute them among the number of players playing the game. Each player is given a list that contains all characters, weapons, and rooms. He or she will look at the cards assigned and then cross off the ones he got off that list. Then the game begins by players rolling the dice and going into rooms. When a player enters a room he or she gets to make a guess on who committed the murder and using what weapon in that room. The player to the right will try to prove him or her wrong by showing cards if he or she has them. The cards he or she sees will then be struck off the list he has. This goes on and on until finally someone is left with just one poker clue and is able to guess about who the murderer was, what weapon he or she used to kill the person, and in what room he murdered that person.

This is a very interesting game and is loved by people of all ages. It is a good detective game and is mostly enjoyed by people who love detective games and movies.
